To the "Schillerhof"
Following the marked trails 5 and 15 this just under three hour MTB tour leads through the Locherertal and over the tarmacked Nigertalweg trail up to the Passo Nigra/Nigerpass. Past the Zischgalm, you then reach the Colle Fossa del Lupo/Wolfsgrubejoch and continue on to Pardeller Hof. The tour then runs along trail no. 2B and 2 and then over the Taufenweg marked trail 2A back to Nova Levante/Welschnofen.
Carezza Bike Trail
The Start is directly in the center of Welschnofen / Nova Levante at the new gondola aerial lift in the South Tyrolean Dolomites of the Eggental Valley. On top, to the foot of the UNESCO Nature Heritage Site of the Rosengarten starts the trail. This real nice flow trail with 4.4 km, starts directly under the Frommer Alm and leads through the beautiful Niger Valley to the valley station of the gondola aerial lift. Along the stretch the average grade is approx. 11% and you will find some banked curves and turns and up to 20 jumps. New up from these year is the daily bike ticket for 22.00 € for the gondola aerial lift.
Mountain pasture tour at the base of the Latemar
The starting point for this two hour MTB tour is the car park near the Epircher Laner Alm. From here follow trail no. 9, which is initially flat and then leads with a constant climb through the forest up to the Passo di Pampeago/Reiterjoch.
From now on you leisurely cycle up and down past mountain pastures and hay barns and soon reach the Zischgalm, Pala di Santa/Zanggen, Monte Agnello and Val di Stava/Stavatal. The panoramic view of the Latemar is particularly magnificent from the Zischgalm.
To Todmoos and Fossa del Lupo/Wolfsgrube
From Nova Levante/Welschnofen cycle on the road towards San Valentino in Campo/Gummer. Soon the Samerweg no. 2 leads to Campo di Sopra/Obergummer and Pardellerhof off to the right. From there continue to Todmoos on trail no. 2B – a magical mountain lake now lies in front of you that simply invites you to while away a few hours. You reach Fossa del Lupo/Wolfsgrube on trail no. 22 and can return on trail no. 5 that leads steeply back to Nova Levante/Welschnofen.
To Passo Nigra/Nigerpass
This three hour MTB tour leads from Nova Levante/Welschnofen towards Campo/Gummer. Turn onto trail no. 5 after Pension Erna and carry on until the fork in the trail (no 2A and no. 22). Continue on the Taufenweg trail (no. A) and soon on the tarmacked road to Gasthaus Lärchenwald, after this turn right onto trail no. 2 and continue to Colle Fossa del Lupo/Wolfsgrubejoch. From there trail no. 1 leads up to Passo Nigra/Nigerpass.
Templwegrunde circular trail
Cycle approx. 300 m down the road from the Lago di Carezza/Karersee visitor's centre to the western edge of the lake. Cross to the embankment on a ramp where you will reach Tempelweg no. 2 via the hiking trail. This leads gently through the idyllic countryside and always offers you a magical view of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten and Latemar.
Enjoy exploring South Tyrol and the Catinaccio/Rosengarten and Latemar region by mountain bike and spend a variety-packed biking holiday in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of the Dolomites, where numerous MTB tours are possible.
